"HE shall be called Wonderful Counselor,"

Today is boxing day in some places around the world. Here in the USA it is a holiday for many, since Christmas fell on a Sunday this year. I am working, for a month now, the first real job, I have had in many years. It is a slow day for me, as I am working in a Communications center, and everyone else has a holiday.
Well another Christmas with all the excitement, planning, work and festivities has come and gone... IT is so easy to become caught up in the work and anticipation of it all, and miss the forest for the trees, so to speak.
It really is all about JESUS, the babe born in humble poverty in a little Jewish outpost 2000 years ago... but HE remains the most important human being ever to walk this earth. He is the central-point and figure of all time and history. I love the fact that JESUS came to earth on a mission from His Father GOD, born to die... that HE may pay the price of all our sins, with His perfect and sinless blood. And as if that were not enough, HE is our wonderful counselor. I was thinking this morning of how often everyday, I just talk to Him, and think about how HE would answer me... often it isn't in words, but warmth, comfort, the feeling you get when you know that someone has heard you and understood. Boy, don't we live in a day, when we need that assurance. When I need a word, I have the WORD become flesh: Jesus, and His written Word the bible. I often do hear the words of scripture running through my mind, and I am confident it is Jesus speaking to my heart with His perfect counsel.
I pray that you, whomever you are, and however you may have found your way to my simple blogspot... are encouraged and perhaps led to investigate this Wonderful Counselor, whom I proclaim to you, this day in 2005... He is Christ the LORD, the King of Kings, Mighty God, Prince of Peace, everlasting Father.... Believe on Him, and be saved. His ear is not dull that He can hear you, nor His arm short, that HE can save... and there is no other name under heaven, given amoung men, by which we must be saved. Call on my WONDERFUL COUNSELOR.... his name is JESUS.
