"HONOR THY MOTHER AND FATHER"
Today, my momma is 80 years old. She has lived a good and blessed life. I believe she has been blessed to be a blessing, and Lord knows my Mother is a blessing, both to me and my siblings and so many others. She has been a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend and grandma. I wanted to say Thank you Lord, for blessing me, with such a wonderful example of love and selflessness. Her life has not always been easy, and she made more than a few sacrifices to facilitate our needs. She is still quick and ready to meet the needs, of those she loves, and even a few but strangers. I pray that she will know this evening to an even greater degree, how deeply loved and truly appreciated we all are for her. I pray also that I will carry on the tradition of grace and generosity that she has modeled for my sister, brothers and myself. May my children rise up to call me blessed, as I stand to proclaim to all the world this 27 day of January 2006. It also happens to be my little grandson's 3rd birthday, so our family is twice blessed today. Happy Birthday MOM and Lucas... May the LORD pour out upon you both.
HE HAS PLACED ETERNITY IN OUR HEARTS
"Heaven is our home, where will reign forever - shining like the sun (SON), with our King forever - every sorrow gone, we'll rejoice forever - Heaven is our Home, HEAVEN is our home." These are the words to a song, I have recently learned.. it is ringing in my mind, resonating to my heart, bringing a smile to my face... and laughter to my expectant soul. Our LORD Jesus, is preparing a place for us, even now... Sometimes, I can hardly wait to be there, to see there... to see HIM, face to face. The bible says that now, it is as if we are seeing things dimly (spiritually), through a dark glass... not clearly nor defined, but then, we will see clearly for He is the light of life. In heaven, we will not need electricity, no sunshine, nor moon, nor stars, for Jesus CHRIST himself will illuminate all of the celestial kingdom. I can't really imagine how glorious that will be, but I believe.... Faith, what a precious gift from Him, just a little foretaste of glory divine... DO you have this eternity, this hope of heaven in your heart??? Come to Jesus, believe that HE lived and died for you, to pay the price of all your sin, on the cross of Calvary. It is as simple as putting your trust in Jesus... and then I will see you there one day... In our true and forever home; HEAVEN
"REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS"
This verse has been in my heart and mind for the past several days, it is so familiar to the Christian, and yet when we take time to meditate upon it, it is a wonder. I woke up yesterday feeling really good, I realized as I drove to work, that I felt happy, much more so than any time in my recent history. I was rejoicing in the LORD. I sang to the Lord as I drove my car. I visited Him in my mind often throughout the day, and thanked Him, for His unfailing love, and wonderous ways. I am happy today as well. It is so good to rejoice in the LORD. I am asking the LORD for the ability to remain in this place. Perhaps this is where Abraham was, when He was camped at Bethel....not in the physical realm but the spiritual attitude of his heart. Lord help your people to be full of faith, joyful and thankful for Your every good and perfect gift. Rejoice in the LORD always, again, I say rejoice.
