guten tag!

Hard to believe that it is Friday ~ the week has gone by quick, I fly back to the states on Sunday morning. The weather here is beautiful right now, yeah it rained a little bit, but now the sun is out and the trees look pretty rad as they change colors.

God is good! I am so glad that I was able to come over here for these 10 days, although leaving is going to be difficult. Anyway, I've got several things I've got to do, perhaps more later :)

Updates...

I’ve been trying to get to this for the last few weeks, so I finally did it today.

Over the last month and a 1/2 I have been teaching a Sunday night service at my home church (Calvary Chapel of Escondido), the service is recorded each week and now you can get it, along with many of my other teachings, here on my site... just click the audio link to the left and check it out.

In the coming weeks (I hope) I will also post my John class from the bible college to the audio section of the site.

foolish things

"The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill."

- Ecclesiastes 9:11

This verse blessed me this morning. I am so grateful that God’s ways are above the ways of man. Psalm 25 says that God will teach the meek His ways; then Psalm 103 says that God made known His ways unto Moses, whom Numbers 12 tells us was “meek, above all men.” Man exalts the swift, the strong, the skillful, the wise... I don’t think I fit any of those categories. God has chosen the foolish things of this world to confound the wise; He has chosen the weak to confound the mighty... the base, the despised and those that are miles behind the rest.

just thinking

so it’s been a month ehh? For a moment I thought I had something to say, but maybe I don’t. I’ve been pretty busy since September 1st, but that cannot really be an excuse for not keeping up with my blog, maybe I just got bored with it... Nah, I’m just a slacker :)

The last month has been an exciting month, and things pretty much continue to remain exciting. It’s awesome to watch God provide for thigns while I am not really making much of an income. He has proven Himself so very faithful in taking care of my needs, but more than that He has also proved many of my wants too. So in just about 2 weeks I’m going to fly over to Germany to spend some time in Siegen and teach wherever they put me. I didn’t think I was going to be able to make it over to Germany again before the end of the year, but it looks like God has different plans.

Well, I really should get back to my reading/studying... I’ve been teaching Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights, so that has kept me pretty busy and it looks like the Lord is continuing to open up doors, He blows my mind.
